XHTML, The “X” Stands for Excitement!

So I have started to learn all about XHTML and HTML. A whole new language and perspective on the Net and how I see a web page.  I have been doing it now for a couple of weeks and things are falling together. I have caught myself on more than one occasion reading the source code of my favorite website just to see what if looks like.  Whats worse I am really starting to understand how it all works.

I spent sometime studying the theory.  I have even had opportunities to put the theory into practice.  This stuff really does work.  As humans we never stop learning and I am enjoying the immersion back into the culture of learning.

But as I move through the work I I keep coming across the same text.  I am not sure if it’s the author of the text book simply mashing keys to give someone something to see as you learn to code.  I don’t know what it is.

I keep think about the place holding text.  It’s time…

Break out Wikipedia!

There is even a term, Greeking!  So this place holding text is just that place holding so you can see what you have coded.  The text itself comes from  On the Ends of Goods and Evils by Marcus Tullius Cicero. I am sure you the read is familiar with all of his work.

I told you it would be exciting!
